Mary's Peak Trail
Philomath, Oregon
9.4 miles W of Philomath, OregonMary's Peak is the tallest in the Oregon Coast Range. This trail goes through an old-growth forest in Corvallis. There are a fair amount of technical root sections to maneuver, and a lot of steep uphill climbing. Your calves will definitely be burning during this ride. The trail is not likely to be crowded so it's a great secluded ride if you're in need of some solitude.
Extendo Trail

Dan's Trail
Corvallis, Oregon
4.4 miles NW of Corvallis, OregonMcDonald Dunn Forest offers and incredible variety of terrain, ranging from short and steep, to long and rolling. Dans' Trail, is one of the newer trails to be added to the area. It is approximately 4miles long from top to bottom. Smooth, and insanely fast in sections. The beauty of McDonald Forest is the fact that you have numerous other trails to choose from (Horse Trail, Extendo, Alien, and a host of others). Most trails drop you off onto gravel roads that you can follow to the next trail. Some of the climbing is intense, and some of the rooted trails require a rider to seriously focus, otherwise, you will get beat up by the trail, or worse. If you can pick your lines though, it is an absolute blast. I can not say enough about the area. I am not going to say it is the greatest place ever, simply because my experiance is limited, but out of the place I have ridden, including the McKenzie River Trail, east of Eugene, McDonald can not be beat. The roads are numbered and you can pick up a map in the area. Also, the legal trails are all marked as well. If you are in the Corvallis Area, you should check it out. The scenery and trails are great. Courtesy of Singletracks.com
Flying Dog Trail
Park City, Utah
6.0 miles N of Park City, UtahThis hot, dusty, and sun-exposed route is a great test for riders looking to gain some fitness and get used to the loose dirt Park City has on offer. If you're feeling bold and want to expand your riding repertoire to something a little more downhill oriented, drop-in on some of the Bob's Basin trails near the end of this route.Family Friendly: Bring the kids - especially for Stealth Trail and Glenwild Loop. The views are great and the obstacles aren't too overwhelming. Courtesy of MTBProject.com
Start at Glenwild and go up Stealth. After turning onto Flying Dog, you stay on Flying Dog for a clockwise loop. (You pass both ends of the Preserve Connector, but don't ride on it.) After descending the lower switchbacks of Flying Dog, you hit either side of the Cobblestone Loop then drop toward Glenwild. When you reach Glenwild, you go left and ride the easier half of the loop back to the trailhead. Courtesy of Singletracks.com
