Deer Creek State Park
Mount Sterling, Ohio

The park features 232 campsites, a lodge, cottages, 7 miles of hiking trails, a golf course, disc golf, a 1,700-foot lake for swimming, fishing, and boating. There are two launch ramps for boat access to the lake. The marina offers fuel, boat rentals, and seasonal dock rentals.
The 350-foot acre golf course has 18 holes and challenges golfers with its 10 ponds and 52 sand traps.
Featured on the shore of the lake, there are changing booths and a concession area. The fishing area by the dam is famous for its early spring saugeye fishing, as well as catfish and largemouth bass (Ohio fishing license required).
At Deer Creek, there is also a lodge with 110 guest rooms, and 25 cottages to stay in if you aren't the camping type. You can still enjoy the outdoors without having to set up a tent or "rough it".
Snively Hot Springs

14.5 miles SW of Nyssa, OregonSnively Hot Springs is easily accessible and a great hot spring to go to if you want to get away from the crowds. The pools here are about 3-4 feet deep. Some areas vary in temperature, with the closest pool to the bank being around 119 degrees, the pool next to it 107 - 110 degrees, and the smallest pool about 103 degrees. These can get pretty hot depending on when you go, so you need to be careful. Some areas blend with the cold river water and make the heat tolerable. You need to be 300-feet away from the source of hot water in order not to get burned.
NOTE: It is closed during the night and camping is not allowed at this location.

This park is the product of 15 months of fund raising and community organization that began in September 1996 with a Juneau/Douglas High School Phoenix Program project and is culminating with the construction of a 7500 square foot facility for skateboarding and in-line skating. Fund raising and organizing is ongoing through the Skate Board an advisory board to the Parks and Recreation Department. It is two metal half pipes (one is 4 ft and the other is 6ft) connected by a spine on one side. If you like vert then its not that bad. But if you like street that's ok too. The park is right next to an elementary school. That school has stairs, ledges, handrails, drop-offs, and gaps. The park is also along side a gym that has all sorts of things.
