Apocalypse Skatepark is a free, welcoming skatepark in Boulder, Colorado, built and run by City on the Hill Church as a gift to Boulder County and the wider Colorado skate community. Despite the ominous name, it's an approachable, community-minded spot where skaters, BMX riders, and scooter kids of all levels are welcome — and it won't cost you a dime.

The park is free to skate and keeps generous hours, generally open daily from early morning into the evening, with extended hours on weekends — a real bonus for getting sessions in around work or school. Its community roots give it a friendly, encouraging vibe that's great for newer skaters finding their feet.

Being in Boulder, it's an easy add-on to a day exploring one of Colorado's most outdoorsy towns, tucked against the Flatirons and the Front Range foothills.

Bring a helmet and pads, check the park's current hours before you go (they can shift seasonally and around events), and share the space with the local crowd — keep the session rolling and take your turns.
