The Boyce Park Skatepark is a fun public skatepark tucked into sprawling Boyce Park in Monroeville, in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Part of Allegheny County's largest park, it's a solid neighborhood spot with a nice variety of features and plenty of other recreation close at hand.
The skatepark offers a good mix of terrain to work, including a half pipe, a quarter pipe, a spine ramp, a fun box, a grind rail, and a flow bowl with a pool section for those who like to carve and drop in. That combination of transition and street features makes it enjoyable for a range of skill levels, whether you're learning the basics or linking together lines.
The setting is a big draw, too: Boyce Park spans well over a thousand acres and packs in trails, a wave pool, ballfields, an archery range, a nature center, a pump track and bouldering area, and even Allegheny County's only downhill ski and snow-tubing slopes in winter — so it's easy to make a full day of it. As a free public park, it's a welcoming community spot. As always, gear up with a helmet and pads (especially younger skaters), be courteous and take turns, bring water, and check for posted hours before you skate.
