Hot Springs
Fisher Hot Springs is a remote, primitive soak hidden in the wide-open sagebrush country of Oregon's Warner Valley, out at the eastern edge of the valley near Crump Lake, southeast of the tiny town of Plush. For those who love their hot springs wild, lonesome, and far from the crowds, this is the real deal: a natural thermal pool under enormous high-desert skies in one of the most remote corners of the state.
The reward is a quiet, rustic soak with sweeping views across the Warner Valley — the kind of place where you might have the whole spring, and the whole horizon, to yourself. There are no developed facilities here; it's just you, the warm water, and the desert. The springs make a magical stop for travelers exploring this starkly beautiful and seldom-visited region.
A note on access and etiquette: while the spring itself is on public BLM land, the parking area sits on private property, so treat the place with real respect — tread lightly, leave gates as you find them, keep it spotless, and don't abuse the privilege, so access stays open for the next visitor. Pack out absolutely everything.
Getting there is a true backcountry expedition. The final 10-plus miles are rough dirt road where a high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended, and the route can become impassable when wet, so avoid it in rain or wet weather. There are no services for many miles — the nearest gas and groceries are in Adel, about 14 miles away — so come fully self-sufficient with plenty of water, food, and fuel. Dispersed camping is allowed on the surrounding BLM land. Come prepared and respectful, and Fisher Hot Springs offers a soak as wild and remote as Oregon gets.

Be careful. Pay attention to posted signs and always test the waters before you get in. Some hot springs can get up to boiling temperatures. Be sure to drink plenty of water to combat the dehydrating effect of the spring.
Be respectful of other soakers and the hot spring. Don't hog the pool. Camp at least 200 yards away and keep fires in designated areas. Keep your pets out of the water and never pee in thermal feature. Glass bottles should never go near a hot spring.
