Mountain Bike

The Katy Trail runs from the West End and the American Airlines Center arena in the south, through Dallas past Knox Street, up to SMU and Mockingbird DART Station in the north. It can be very aerobic or leasurely. The sights are a perfect mix of forest and urban. There are joggers and rollerbladers on the path as well which can be difficult when the trail is busy. I personally love it.The trail is being extended this summer to reach from American Airlines Center to Airline Road near SMU. There will be more entrances and extensions to other parks in the future. The website will keep you updated on progress. http://www.katytraildallas.com Courtesy of Singletracks.com

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
