Lawnwood Skatepark is a well-built public skatepark in Fort Pierce, Florida, on the Treasure Coast, located beside the Havert L. Fenn Center on Virginia Avenue. Opened in 2008 and designed and constructed by the renowned Team Pain, this roughly 15,000-square-foot park is a favorite of street skaters up and down Florida's Atlantic coast.
The park leans street, with a rich spread of features to work: a four-flat-four double set with a square handrail and a hubba, a long ledge (around 50 feet) paired with several smaller handrails, a curved ledge, a manual pad, a bench, a whale-tail ledge, and a snake run to tie it all together. It's a technical skater's playground, with lines and combinations to keep you busy for hours, and enough variety to challenge advancing skaters while remaining approachable.
As a public county facility, it's a welcoming community spot — note that helmets are required here, so bring yours (and pads are always smart). Come with water, be courteous and take turns with other skaters, and check for any posted hours or rules before you skate. Well-designed and centrally located, Lawnwood is one of the Treasure Coast's best places to session.
