Hot Springs
Lifsey Spring issues from alluvium in low ground 200 feet north of a county road that extends westward 2 miles from Pine Mountain Store, 4 miles south of Zebulon. Numerous sources of water are enclosed within concrete walls so as to form a pool 32 by 98 feet, which is used for swimming. Bubbles of gas rise spasmodically from the largest sources. Measurements in June 1935 showed a total discharge of 83 gallons a minute. The temperature on June 15, 1935, measured by placing the thermometer bulb on the bottom of the pool at places where the water was clear, was found to be 78.5° F. The air temperature at the time was 84° F., and the temperature of the water at the surface of the pool was 78.8° F. Courtesy of pubs.usgs.gov

Be careful. Pay attention to posted signs and always test the waters before you get in. Some hot springs can get up to boiling temperatures. Be sure to drink plenty of water to combat the dehydrating effect of the spring.
Be respectful of other soakers and the hot spring. Don't hog the pool. Camp at least 200 yards away and keep fires in designated areas. Keep your pets out of the water and never pee in thermal feature. Glass bottles should never go near a hot spring.
