Hike

The Little Bear Creek Trail is one of Euless's most popular places for an easy walk, run, or family bike ride, following Bear Creek through a green ribbon of parks on the city's north side. Also known as the Little Bear Creek Linear Park, it stitches together several neighborhood parks into one continuous, shaded greenbelt.

The paved-and-gravel path runs about 6.6 miles round trip with only gentle grades, making it an approachable outing for just about anyone — plan on two to two-and-a-half hours at a stroll. Along the way it connects the Villages of Bear Creek, The Preserve at McCormick Park, Trailwood Park, and Bob Eden Park, with plenty of shade, creek views, and places to stop. There are multiple trailheads and parking areas, playgrounds for the kids, and a large fenced dog park right beside the route.

Dogs are welcome but must be leashed on the trail itself. This is an easy, well-used community trail rather than a wilderness hike — a reliable option for everyday exercise, a family outing, or walking the dog close to the Mid-Cities. Bring water in the Texas heat, and enjoy the shade the creek corridor provides.
