Camp, Hike, Hot Springs, and Swim

Mystic Hot Springs is as magical as the name. This natural hot spring is over 10,000 years old, and is open year round. Mystic Hot Springs was found in 1955 by Producer/Director/Artist Mike Ginsburg. When he had stumbled upon the space, he knew immediately, he wanted to purchase it. Since then, Mike has dedicated his time to creating the ultimate artistic mineral water soaking areas. Some of these creations include a shallow two foot deep soaking pool with a mineral water waterfall, and six cast iron bathtubs. The temperature of the water can vary between 90-110 degrees.

Although admission is not free, soaking passes are free for those who stay in their cabins. The cabins cost $60 per night, and  feature a queen bed, double bed on the loft, and a wooden stove! If you would like to skip the cabin, and go straight to soaking, you can get a soaking pass for $15. For $15, you can soak for as long as you want, watch the sunset, and even see the milky way!

Occasionally, Mystic Hot Springs will have concerts. These concerts are free for those who already have a pass to soak. The site has three concert stages and they are all acoustic. This means that you can sit in a pool or a tub, watch the sunset, and listen to live acoustic music.

The ambiance created by this hot spring is like no other. The site itself throws you back into the 70's, and for those who have never been there, it has a psychedelic feeling to it.

Be careful. Pay attention to posted signs and always test the waters before you get in. Some hot springs can get up to boiling temperatures. Be sure to drink plenty of water to combat the dehydrating effect of the spring.
Be respectful of other soakers and the hot spring. Don't hog the pool. Camp at least 200 yards away and keep fires in designated areas. Keep your pets out of the water and never pee in thermal feature. Glass bottles should never go near a hot spring.
