Skateboard
The Salida Skatepark is a modern concrete skatepark in the charming mountain town of Salida, Colorado, set in Centennial Park along the Arkansas River in the heart of the Rockies. Designed and built by the highly regarded Grindline Skateparks, it's a quality park in a genuinely beautiful setting, and a great stop for skaters exploring central Colorado.
Grindline's builds are known for their smooth concrete and flowing, well-thought-out terrain, and Salida's park delivers a fun mix of transition and street features to suit a range of styles and skill levels — from carving bowls and transitions to grinding ledges and rails. Its riverside location in Centennial Park, with mountains all around, makes for one of the more scenic sessions you'll find anywhere.
As a free public park, it's a welcoming community hub in this friendly Arkansas River Valley town, which is also famous for rafting, hot springs, and mountain biking — easy to pair with a day of skating. As always, gear up with a helmet and pads (and note the high elevation, so pace yourself and stay hydrated), be courteous and take turns, bring water, and check for any posted hours. For a quality skate in a spectacular mountain town, Salida is well worth a visit.
