The Sayreville Skatepark at Kennedy Park is a well-rounded, free public park in central New Jersey that packs a real variety of terrain into its roughly 11,000 square feet. Small but genuinely good, it's a longtime favorite of Middlesex County skaters and has even served as a model for other town parks in the region.
The layout covers both worlds: a street section with banks and bumps, a funbox, ledges, quarter pipes, rails, hubbas, manual pads, and handrails, plus a snake run, a volcano, and bowl terrain for those who like to carry speed and carve. That range makes it a great spot for skaters of different styles and skill levels to session together.
No permit is required, and it's a skate-and-bike-at-your-own-risk facility with posted rules; it's typically open from morning until dusk in the warmer months, weather permitting. Kennedy Park surrounds it with plenty more to do — a fishing pond, tennis courts, walking paths, a boat launch, and playgrounds — so it's an easy family destination.
Bring a helmet and pads, check that the park is open (it occasionally closes briefly for repairs), and enjoy one of the better community skateparks in the area.
