Dive, Hike, and Swim
Creek Falls, near Dawson, Pennsylvania, is a local summer hotspot just outside of Pittsburgh where visitors take a short hike until the thick trees clear into a beautiful waterfall where visitors can jump and swim to their heart's content. The hike itself is only about 15 minutes long from where you park, but since the trees are so dense it can be a little hard to find. Be sure to follow all trail markers until you happen upon the cliff jumping area.
The cliffs themselves are not extremely high, about 15-20 feet tall, so visitors do not have to worry about the jump being too extreme for their taste. Visitors jump off to the side of the waterfall in to a beautiful swimming hole where visitors have the option to swim under and behind the waterfall. If visitors do not want to jump there are plenty of swimming options in the area outside of the cliff jumping area to take a cool dip in the refreshing water during the hot summer months.
The swimming hole and cliff jumping area can get very busy during the summer months so be advised on these busy conditions and plan accordingly. The best times to swim at Creek Falls is from April to September to enjoy the summer months at this beautiful swimming hole.
Creek Falls is a summer hot spot to put on your to-do list this summer! It could be everything you are looking for and more!
