Disc Golf
The original 1999 course was often called 'Old School'- wooded, tight, technical, open and just plain fun. The new 20 hole layout is more challenging in all aspects. Enter at the end of Industrial Parkway and see the welcome sign (1st tee is behind it) and porta potty (during season). Wooden posts and tee signs at each pad, with directional signs where necessary (follow the cut fairways). #10-19 are in the heavy woods, then 20 brings you back out into the Old Airport Runway for 549' finish. Springtime will be wet, keep an eye out for poison ivy and bring your bug spray. Walk from the great riverside campground in the middle of town. Donations encouraged. Directions
From Au Gres, Michigan
- Head north on N Court St toward Saginaw St (0.2 mi)
- Turn left onto Industrial Pkwy (407 ft)
From Standish; US 23 (N-S Huron) towards Tawas/Alpena for 15 miles to the stop light. Go north on Court St. 3 blocks to a left on Industrial Parkway. Go to the end and park off the road on the grass alongside the 1st tee.Courtesy of DiscGolfUnited.com
