Cherry Corner Access is a 4.2 acre park that has been open to the public since 1987. This access area is located on Shoal Creek just outside of Neosho, Missouri. The creek is a popular launch point for kayaks and canoes. There is a gravel bar here that allows for easy launch and take out for small boats and floatation devices. This access point is also close to a large parking lot, adding to ease of water access without having to carry boats a long distance.
Swimming is also allowed in on Shoal Creek. At Cherry Corner Access swimmers can enjoy the rope swim and jump in points for water access. Swimsuits are customary at Cherry Corner Access, but along the creek there are several places where swimmers can swim more privately and swimsuits are not required. Swimmers swim at their own risk, and should check water safety and cleanliness before entering the creek.
