Hike and Mountain Bike

The Willamette River trail is a mix of both paved and natural surface trails. It is a relatively flat trail that would be perfect if you want to take a leisurely bike ride and you're not up for breaking a sweat. As the name suggests, the trail follows along the Willamette River in Eugene, guiding you through some nice scenic areas. This is an ideal trail to ride in hot weather because there is ample shade provided by the trees. Although it is a heavily used trail by both walkers and bikers, you can always expect it to be a peaceful ride.

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
