Santa Rosa Skatepark is a well-established concrete skatepark in Santa Rosa, California, in the heart of Sonoma County about an hour and a half north of San Francisco. Open since 1994, it's a longtime favorite of the North Bay skate scene and a fun, flowing park with a great mix of bowl and street terrain.
The park is especially known for its fast, flowing lines: a tall snake run feeds into a nice deep bowl, giving transition skaters plenty of speed and carving room. Street skaters aren't left out, with a pyramid featuring hips, a long parking block, and a long flat bar among the features to work. The combination makes for an enjoyable session whether you like to pump the bowls or grind ledges and rails.
As a free public park, it's a welcoming community spot in the Wine Country. As always at skateparks, gear up with a helmet and pads (especially younger skaters), be courteous and take turns with others sharing the park, bring water, and check for any posted hours or rules. With decades of history and a solid, varied layout, Santa Rosa Skatepark remains a North Bay classic.
