Sequim Skatepark is a solid, free public concrete park on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, set within Sequim's well-loved Carrie Blake Community Park. Sitting in the famous “banana belt” rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains, Sequim stays drier and sunnier than much of the soggy Northwest — a real bonus for a concrete skatepark.
The all-cement park has a good spread of terrain for its size: a pyramid, a funbox, grind rails, ledges, and hips for the street crowd, plus some big transitions standing around 8 feet tall for riders who like to carry speed and air. That mix makes it fun for a range of skill levels, from grommets learning their first grinds to seasoned locals working lines.
Carrie Blake Park wraps the skatepark in plenty of extras — open lawns, gardens, a pond, and playgrounds — so it's an easy family stop. It's free and open to the public.
Bring a helmet and pads, and take advantage of Sequim's unusually dry weather — it's a great place to session while exploring the Olympic Peninsula, Dungeness Spit, and nearby Olympic National Park.
