Steel Creek is a beautiful recreation area in Buffalo National Forrest Arkansas. Nestled by this forested creek is Steel Creek Campground. The campground has 25 tent only camp sites, 14 of these campsite allow up to four stock animals.This is a popular place to bring horses for overnight riding trips. Horse trails can be found near the campground and throughout the park. Sites have no water or electrical hookups, but the campground has flush able toilets and a water spigot between May and September.
In addition to horse trails, there are miles of hiking trails in the park. There are hikes available for various skill levels making this campsite the perfect jumping off point for any adventure.
Near the campsite the creek is a great location for a swim. The water is deep and calm enough to allow visitors to use the water to cool off and splash around in. The creek is also available for people wanting to kayak and canoe.
