Tubbs Hill is a 135 acre, publicly owned, forested peninsula that extends into picturesque Lake Coeur d'Alene. The park features numerous trails, which pass three-story tall caves, beaches, scenic overlooks and side trails which go over the top of the hill. It is an excellent hike for bird watching. Birds commonly sighted on the lake are osprey, common merganser and pied-billed grebe in the summer and bald eagles, hooded mergansers and horned, eared and Western grebes in the winter.

- Head west on E Garden Ave toward N 4th St (0.1 mi)
- Turn left at the 2nd cross street onto N 3rd StDestination will be on the right(0.4 mi)
I-90, exit onto Business 90 S. (Northwest Blvd.). Right onto Front St. and to a city parking lot at Third St. Main trailhead begins at boat launch and ends at McEuen Field. A map is available.
