Devil’s Hole Cave is a great location for spelunkers near Mountain Home, Idaho. The cave starts out as a 40-foot shaft where you will need a rope to descend. The cave continues to descend until about 300 feet below the surface.
The cave is wet and muddy throughout the year, even during the dry season. Be sure to come prepared.
Climbing is necessary for decent into the cave as well as ascent on your way back out. The 40-foot shaft must be climbed to reach the surface again. This cave is for experienced spelunkers and is intermediate in difficultly. Be sure to be careful and prepared for these contingencies when visiting this cave.
