3200ft elevation. 16 tree shaded campsites for tents and a few small trailers is located on a small hill close to the lake. Trail access for hiking is nearby. Other activities include fishing, canoeing, and motorized boating. Small sandy beach available for swimming. Lake Gillette can be accessed from Lake Thomas.

From Ione on SR 31 go south 3.5 miles to SR 20, then 11 miles to Pend Oreille Lake Road, turn left and go 1 mile to the site.
