5 campsites on the Snake River near American Falls Reservoir. Fishing for trophy brown and rainbow trout. More than 30 species of migratory shorebirds rest at the reservoir. From the campground, you can also see bald eagles, peregrine falcons, and Thayer gulls in winter or pelicans, cormorants and terns in the summer.

Kind of hard to see the sign for it. And many directions are wrong but a gem when you find it. Free camps right on the edge of the river. Take Neely road south out of American Falls, do not get back on the Interstate. Boat ramp and docks. Vault toilet. Was clean when I was there.
