I've been there and it is pretty. But I would not swim in falls: it includes bit of storm water runoff. Much better to swim in shallows of Potomac 100 feet away. And there are plenty of snakes in area, though harmless unless copperhead (which are not aggressive). The only long term parking is 3-4 slots at far end of lane. The drop off lane for boaters and tubers is just that: for drop offs. Buses use it in summer. Your own car shuttle is one option. But parking for 2nd car can be 1-3 miles away.
