Elizabeth Furnace is a recreation area with many options for people hoping to reconnect with nature. This beautiful area is equip with a campground that allows visitors to explore for multiple days. There are 32 campsites available for reservations. These campsites have access to electricity and bathrooms with private showers and warm running water. These campsites are available for $20 a night.

From the campsite visitors can access miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking. These trails vary in difficulty and give visitors a variety of challenges to face. There are also a couple of locations available for rock climbers. Climbers need to bring their own gear and hang their own ropes.

There are three swimming holes close to Elizabeth Furnace, including one directly in the area. This swimming hole is on Passage Creek. The water here is clean and features a great log for jumping in the water.

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
