Mountain Bike

This trail runs in a North/South direction into yet another area of Sedona filled with short trails. This area is known as 'Seven Canyons' and is north of Hwy 89A, West of Dry Creek rd and bordered on the north by the Wilderness area. The trails here tend to be a bit more sandy especially low in the valleys & canyons.Riding north on the Girdner tr from the hwy the first mile is a gradual rocky drop down the ridges into a dry creek bed and canyon. This trail is not particularly technical but the sandy wash areas will have you doing short hike-a-bike's every now and then, there are also a few of the signature Sedona rocky sections. Cross the wash and follow under a power line for a while and come to an intersection with the pipeline tr, stay left here. At three miles from the start you come to an intersection with the Cockscomb/Rupp tr (a major East/West route). .6 miles of great singletrack later there is an intersection with the AZ Cyprus tr (also runs North). Shortly after that is another trail, 2 fences tr, that is a short equestrian access tr (all these intersections are well signed). Stay left for the Girdner tr as it slowly weaves its way up the ridges ending at Dry Creek rd 1 mile later. This is a nice ride but better if used in conjunction with some of the others to create loops, lollipops or even a large figure 8. Courtesy of Singletracks.com

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
