Probably the safest public tubing/sledding location in the North Davis County area isn't in Davis County - it's Ogden's Mount Ogden Golf Course.
"It is legal. We are allowing it," said Steve Wathen, golf pro/man-ag-er of Mount Ogden. Wathen said the city doesn't go out of its way to promote tubing at the course, but the hills at Mount Ogden aren't too steep or long and have few stationary objects. The city also makes a cross country ski trail when snow depth permits. Wathen said there haven't been any serious tubing accidents, but if there were, he's sure the city would review its tubing policy.
