Hike and Swim
Ponca Bridge is an easy to access swimming hole, providing a great way to cool off on hot days without long hikes, drives or overnight camping. This swimming hole has bright blue water teeming with marine life. Some visitors enjoy snorkeling here to get a closer look at the fish. The swimming hole is surrounded by beautiful trees that reflect in the water.
Swimmers here are able to enjoy a real swim with the deep water that pools in this area. There is a concrete bridge here that sits just above the water's surface that provides a fun point for jumping off into the water. Swimmers wishing to wade and enjoy looking at the wildlife will enjoy the rocky shallows here. Swimmer should wear protective foot wear as the bottom of the pool is rocky throughout.
Elk frequent this area and are occasionally spotted even very near the swimming hole. Ponca Bridge is the perfect destination for people wanting an easily accessible way to cool off and enjoy nature.
