Smithfield Beach is a grassy beach on the Delaware River that is the perfect place to start many summer adventures. This beach allows swimming year round, and has lifeguards on duty seasonally. Swimming is also allowed on other areas of the Delaware River, but is at your own risk and not recommended.

Smithfield Beach features a boat launch and a canoe launch. This is a popular launch spot for the 7 mile float from Smithfield Beach to Delaware Water Gap. These two points make for perfect put in and take out places, with boat launches and close parking lots.

The beach also has restrooms and picnic tables available to visitors. Grills are allowed, but visitors must bring their own.

Smithfield Beach is an National Park Amenity and charges a small entry fee, $7 per vehicle or $1 for pedestrian entry. Entry is half price for those with an America the Beautiful Pass and season passes are also available. Visitors coming on holiday weekends should arrive early as the parking lot fills up.
