West Linn Skatepark — also known as Tanner Creek Skatepark — is a standout concrete park in West Linn, Oregon, just south of Portland along the Willamette River. Built by the renowned Grindline Skateparks, this roughly 14,000-square-foot park is a serious destination for bowl and transition skaters and one of the better parks in the greater Portland area.
The park is famous for its large, fast bowl section, with transitions ranging from about five feet up to ten feet, a nine-foot over-vert pocket, seven hips, and a channel in one corner that flows into the upper part of the park — an outstanding, continuous bowl run for experienced skaters. For those who prefer street skating, a shallower area offers a pyramid, a four-stair, ledges, and a rail, so there's something for a range of styles and skill levels. The concrete and coping are smooth and fast.
It's a free public park and a rewarding stop on any Oregon skate road trip. As always, wear a helmet and pads (especially younger skaters), be respectful and take turns with the locals, bring water, and check for posted hours. With its big bowls and quality build, West Linn is a Portland-area classic.
