The Gabriel Park Skatepark is a distinctive concrete skatepark in the large, leafy Gabriel Park of southwest Portland, Oregon. Built in 2008 by Airspeed Skateparks, this roughly 10,000-square-foot park has a unique, flow-focused design that sets it apart from the city's many bowl-heavy parks — and it's a local favorite for exactly that reason.
The park is built around a huge snake run — about 8,000 of its square feet — that lets skaters pump and carve through long, flowing lines. Around the perimeter, another 2,000 square feet of creative features includes a wallride, pump bumps, a transition trench, and a vert transition to a slappy curb, giving the park real character. Its long, double-sided curb and blended transition are especially beloved by locals and visitors, and the smooth, crack-free surfaces make for a quality ride. There's terrain here to suit a wide range of skill levels.
Set in a 90-acre park with trails, sports fields, and natural areas, it's a pleasant, free public spot to skate. As always, gear up with a helmet and pads (especially younger skaters), be courteous and take turns, bring water, and check for posted hours. For skaters who love flow and something a little different, Gabriel Park is a Portland gem.

The inclusive playground at Gabriel Park is now reopen. Crews replaced safety-surfacing tiles which, due to the play areaās popularity, had worn rather quickly. Enjoy!
