Divide Road criss-crosses the Continental Divide between Montana and Idaho. I have ridden it three times and didn't see a soul each time. I saw lots of deer and elk. There are bears around, but I didn't see any. Beautiful views of Centennial Mtns, Henry's Lake, Tetons, etc. The road is double-track dirt with a few pebbly sections. There are a few decent climbs to get the heart going. I have ridden this road out and back; however, you could ride to Red Rock Pass Rd. (abt 7 miles), go left, hit Henry's Lake Rd., and take that back to Raynolds Pass. The first part of the road from Hwy. 87 climbs gradually for about 2 miles, so be prepared for that. Lots of aspen groves to ride through. The entire road hovers around 7,000 feet, making for a nice workout with gorgeous scenery. Courtesy of Singletracks.com
Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
