Welton Park is a beautiful 29 acre park on the Potomac River. Being easily accessible from Peterson, WV, this park is the perfect spot for visitors and locals alike to enjoy the outdoors.
The park is known most for its river access. With two boat docks and beach access this is the perfect place for a variety of summer water activities. The peaceful river is cool and makes for a great place to splash around and enjoy the water. Kayaks, canoes and other small boats and floatation devices are allowed on the river and can be put in here.
Welton Park has a variety of amenities available, including restrooms and several picnic areas with picnic tables. Camp sites are also available here. Children also enjoy access to a large public playground.
Perhaps the most famous and unusual feature of Welton Park is their Christmas Light Show. This show is open to the public and grows bigger and more elaborate every year.
