The Joe Dancer Skatepark is a fun public concrete skatepark in McMinnville, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley wine country. Set within the sprawling 100-acre Joe Dancer Park along the Yamhill River, it's a quality Dreamland-built park and a great spot for the local skate community.

The park features a nice mix of street terrain to session, including a big pyramid topped with a handrail running over the whole thing, a roughly 25-foot-long quarterpipe (around five feet high) with good coping behind it, and a staircase with a handrail and a slanted ledge, plus a few more ledges to work. That variety makes it enjoyable for skaters looking to grind, drop in, and link together lines, and the trademark Dreamland quality means smooth concrete and solid coping throughout.

Its setting is a real bonus: Joe Dancer Park is a big riverside recreation area with playgrounds, paved and forested walking trails, and a wetland for wildlife viewing, so it's easy to make a full outing of it. As a free public facility, it's open and welcoming. As always, gear up with a helmet and pads (especially younger skaters), be courteous and take turns, bring water, and check for any posted hours. For a quality session in the Willamette Valley, Joe Dancer is a great stop.
