The Rolling Freedom Skate Park is a fun public concrete skatepark in Woodland, Washington, beautifully situated at the east end of Horseshoe Lake Park in this small town along the I-5 corridor north of Vancouver. A genuine community achievement, it draws not only local skaters but visitors from across Washington and Oregon to its lakeside setting.
The park offers a well-rounded concrete layout with both bowl and street terrain, including a bowl along with a hubba, curb, quarterpipe, manual pad, a London gap, ledges, banks, and stairs. That variety makes it enjoyable for a range of skill levels, whether you're carving the bowl or working technical street lines. Completed in 2007 through the efforts of the Woodland Rotary Club and many volunteers, it carries a real sense of local pride.
Its lakeside location is a big bonus: adjacent Horseshoe Lake Park offers swimming, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, plus covered picnic areas, open lawns, playgrounds, and restrooms — so it's easy to make a full day of it with family or friends. As a free public facility, it's open and welcoming. As always, gear up with a helmet and pads (especially younger skaters), be courteous and take turns, bring water, and check for any posted hours. Scenic and community-built, Rolling Freedom is a great stop in southwest Washington.
