Hike and Swim
Seneca Falls is a beautiful location near the famous Seneca Rocks. Seneca Falls is the perfect location for a challenging hike, with a beautiful swimming hole for hikers to take a break and cool down in.
The hike to the falls is about three and a half miles out and back on Seneca Creek Trail and is moderately difficult. The trail is forested throughout, creating shade for hikers and providing views of colorful leaves in the fall. Hikers will also enjoy the sound of rushing water and views of the creek throughout the hike.
Seneca Falls itself is a beautiful waterfall cascading off a cliff encircling the small pool at the bottom. The water is clear, and clean and beautifully reflects the cliffs and forests surrounding it. There is a sloping rocky beach that allows swimmers access to the water. The water slowly grows deeper, allowing swimmers to swim beneath the actual falls.
There are several back country campsites along Seneca Falls Trail for visitors wanting to enjoy the beauty over night. The campsites are free, but have no amenities. Campers will need to bring any supplies in and out to the sight with them.
