Swim
Big Bend is a popular location on the Potomac River for swimming, hiking and camping. Big Bend campground is open to the public with campsites costing between $22 and $40 a night. The campground has restrooms with flushing toilets and showers available. Each campsite has a picnic table and campfire attached.
The campsite is a short walk from the popular swimming hole called Big Bend. This swimming hole has a beautiful sandy beach with deep enough waters for splashing in. This is also a popular location for tubing, as the river travels in a circle and bring tubers back to their launch site.
This location is also open to hikers and fishers. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of activities as they spend a couple days enjoying the nature here.
