Hike and Swim
Courthouse Falls is a beautiful 45 foot waterfall that is popular to visit. This waterfall is an easy 3/4 mile hike from the parking lot on Courthouse Creek Road (FSR 140) or can be accessed from the main road via a more challenging 5 mile hike. Courthouse creek trail is level and narrow, making the trail easy to follow and keeping the trail shaded for most of the day.
Courthouse Falls streams from a greenery covered, cliff surrounded cove into a stunning blue green pool. This pool is deep enough to allow for wading or swimming, and the water is cold giving the area a cool mist. Swimmers should exercise caution as the water is moving.
The trail to Courthouse Falls is open year round, making this a wonderful location to cool off in the summer, enjoy the bright fall colors or view the interesting ice formations in the winter.
