Logging Creek Campground is one of the smallest and most remote campgrounds in Glacier National Park, a tiny primitive site deep in the North Fork region on the park's quiet, undeveloped west edge. It sits along the rough, dusty, winding Inside North Fork Road about nine miles south of the Polebridge Ranger Station, a slow drive that is not suited to RVs or trailers and that keeps this corner of the park wonderfully lonesome.
The campground has just seven first-come, first-served sites, making it one of the two smallest in Glacier. Facilities are truly primitive: vault (pit) toilets and no drinking water, so visitors must bring their own or treat creek water, and there are no hookups or services of any kind. Sites have picnic tables, fire rings and bear-resistant food storage. Because it is so small, even in this hard-to-reach spot it can fill, so arriving early is wise.
The setting is classic North Fork: dense lodgepole forest, the sound of Logging Creek, and a deep quiet broken only by wildlife. The campground doubles as the trailhead for the hike to Logging Lake, a long, secluded backcountry lake, and it makes a peaceful base for exploring the North Fork's other primitive campgrounds and paddling lakes. This is remote grizzly country with no cell service and no amenities, best suited to self-sufficient campers seeking Glacier at its most solitary.

The North Fork Flathead River (Ktunaxa: kqaskanmituk [3]) is a 153-mile (246 km)[2] river flowing through British Columbia, Canada, south into the U.S. state of Montana. It is one of the three primary forks of the Flathead River, the main inflow of Flathead Lake and a tributary of the Columbia River via the Clark Fork River and the Pend Oreille River.
