The Run Away Train Trail is 2.8 miles long. It begins at the summit of Whitefish Mountain Resort and ends at the base area near Chair 1 (Glacier Chaser). This free-ride design trail is suited for advanced mountain bike riders. The trail has rock drops and other natural features to challenge the riders. The trail is for downhill riders only, no uphill ridering is allowed. Not for beginner riders! Add ResourceNever modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
