Sprague Campground is a popular destination for travelers visiting Glacier National Park in Montana. Located on the west side of the park, the campground is named after Amos Sprague, one of the first settlers in the area. It is situated near Lake McDonald, the largest lake in the park, and provides easy access to a variety of recreational activities.
The campground itself has 85 campsites that can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire pit, and there are also several restrooms with flush toilets and cold running water available for campers. The campground is open from late May to early October, depending on the weather.
One of the main attractions of Sprague Campground is its proximity to Lake McDonald, which offers a variety of water-based activities such as swimming, boating, and fishing.
