Hike and Mountain Bike

Fish Creek is a network of mountain bike trails up in the Big Hole Mountains. The trails are easily accessed from either the Ririe or Rexburg side of the range. The trail system is set up much like a downhill mountain bike park just without the lift access. The whole mountain side is surrounded by Windy Ridge Road which makes for easy climbs and super accessible trailheads. Most of the trails start at different points along the road and end near each other at the bottom. From the bottom, there are plenty of great climbing options. $300 Haircut is a popular singletrack climb, Upper Fish Creek ATV is a great doubletrack climb, or if you want a really easy but longer climb, you can take the Windy Ridge Road back to the top. It's about a mile along any of the trails from the upper side of Windy Ridge Road to the bottom making it really easy to do several laps. The singetracks are fairly well thought out so that mile won't feel like you just wasted all your elevation all at once.

Break out of the road loop by dropping down Fishbone with it's floater jumps and rock gardens then come back to the main hill by taking the Fish Creek Singletrack or Fish Creek ATV Trail. Of course, there are all kinds of trails connecting away from the Fish Creek Trail system. There is so much here and it's improving all the time by the great trail crews that are currently working to build it and improve it.

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
